![]() ![]() There's very obviously a limit to what the class is in lore and setting and what it can be in gameplay. My supers are gun with three bullets, gun with six bullets, knives, bow with one shot, bow with three shots, knives, spin stick, throw stick and tornado. Hunters are supposed to be agile scouts and explorers who trek the wilderness and map the unknown, but I'm forced into known missions with fireteams instead of having an open world to map out alone for others. Warlocks are scholars and students of the arcane space magics and should be able to specialise in specific fields and then weave them as they see fit in millions of different ways, but instead their supers are throw void orb, throw void orb but it tracks, you are void orb, solar sword on fire, solar sword on fire in the ground, electric fingers, electric beam and stick. We can extend that to other classes as well. ![]() And also impossible to do in Destiny as it exists right now. A game where a piece of concrete can be destroyed and then you can pick it up and use it to throw it at enemies or create a temporary barricade or do whatever else you might come up with to simulate a front-line tactician would be unfathomably cool. Titans are well known to be able to make plans, both ahead of time and on the go, as well as improvise in the heat of battle, but that is simply incredibly metaphysical to make first person shooter gameplay out of.Īs an example, would I like if, as a Titan, I could use destructible environment to quickly create a throwing melee or super? Sure. The problem is, how do you translate "front-line tactician" into a playable ability? A tactician is someone who makes plans to execute a strategy. Even if it does different things in gameplay, debuffing for example, running around punching is creatively boring. What bungie seems to see them as is a big gorilla, or the Hulk, and I feel that does a disservice to the actual characterization of the class. People throw around Spartan, Paladin, Soldier, titles like that. I've also noticed something even stranger today, where a friend and I both could only find three out of four chests in Korthia (we were not in together) but then when we joined another friend in there in his instance, the fourth chest was available.Following up on the ask about the Titan supers, going for the fantasy expectation question specifically- Titans are, thematically, front-line tacticians. I'd imagine every player has an x amount of spawns "tied" to them per period (week or assault) and once you loot them all they're gone. I'm also fairly certain there is some kind of cap to stolen anima vessels, maybe per week or maybe per assault (the outside ones are tied to the assault, at least) since yesterday I looted a bunch and today only looted one even though I combed through the entire zone twice. I've found them all over beastwarrens, the furnace area, tremulacrum (one in the basement area) and the current assault area. There's also a lot of spawns, all over the maw. On the inside we also had people being unable to see certain anima vessels while others were able to see them. I found two outside ones while my guildie couldn't, but found two in different spots. The stolen anima vessels seem to be somehow personal. ![]() Those things would yield a lot more in terms of return investment. Or working on their UI, WeakAuras, or running keys for practice if they’re a M+ only player and don’t raid. If you want to think of time spent efficiently to help a CE guild as players of this skill level in this thread, they would get a lot more value out of researching the dungeon journal and the fights on mythic rather than putting hours into running around Korthia doing rifts. ![]() Unless you’re competing for world top 10-20 or so in sanctum with the likes of Limit, Pieces, Method, etc, and need to have level 6 unlocked to have sockets for your gear for the start of mythic week, then just do your Korthia dailies every day and kill a rare and that’s more than enough. It isn’t going to push one of these guys’ world 1000 guilds to suddenly being world 970, or even 990. Unless you actually enjoy “treasure finding” and exploring in this game, this stuff is nearly pointless to grind in regards to performance enhancing your character. Note: Need to be in The Maw for these waypointsĮdit: added stolen anima vessels. Here are all of the waypoints for Riftbound caches, Zovaal's Vault spawn points and rares in both the Maw and Korthia: So im try harding rifts and I collected all this info for macros for myself and the guild. ![]()
